About Dr.Wright
Dr. Wright attended the University of Texas at Dallas and obtained a bachelors in neuroscience and a masters degree in applied cognition and neuroscience. She then attended medical school at UNT-Health Science Center and residency at the University of Texas at Southwestern. Dr. Wright is board certified in general psychiatry through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. She also holds board certification in Addiction Medicine from the American Board of Preventative Medicine.
Experience
Dr. Wright has a broad range of experience due to her training at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. As an attending, she worked in the psychiatric emergency room at one of the busiest county hospitals int he country. She also has worked in college mental health, inpatient psychiatry, telepsychiatry, and addictions.
Award Winning Care
Dr. Wright has received awards for her expertise starting in medical school, residency, and as an attending. She received an award and scholarship for Outstanding Medical Student in Psychiatry at UNTHSC. During her tenure at UTSW, she served as a residency representative and Co-President of UTSW Psychiatry Residents Organization. She received scholarships to attend the American Group Psychotherapy Association annual meeting 2 years in a row and to attend training in cognitive behavioral therapy from the Beck Institute. As an attending physician, she has received Provider of the month award and more importantly, rave reviews from patients.
